In our efforts to maintain quality supports for people with developmental disabilities in our community, the leadership and staff at Developmental Connections are closely involved in shaping policy at the state and local level. Through association with organizations like the Missouri Association of County Developmental Disabilities Services (MACDDS), we are able to be on the cutting edge of policy and give input in related legislative issues. We have hosted Legislative Awareness Tours for our local, county and state representatives and senators to ensure they are educated about what we do and the needs of out clients and their families. Developing good relationships with our legislators is a priority.
Training and Education
Our team regularly attends on and off-site training to keep up-to-date on current treatment protocol and industry best practices. This additional training allows us to bring our clients new resources and services.
